Shisango's new toilets

Late last year we made an appeal for a primary school that was threatened with closure because of the state of their latrines. We received a few donations and proceeded in faith to construct new composting units to be used for the upper classes. We handed over the units last week and will wait to see if elementary age children can handle the use and care. We know we have the teachers on our side. We have a list of many more schools that want to replace their smelly, unsanitary and dilapidated latrines with the environmentally friendly composting units.

We took with us two girls and two boys from Shichinji Secondary School who have had these toilets for over a year. They were excellent in talking to the elementary age children.
